A Winter’s Journey by Catherine Wilson is a level 3 piano solo that creates a sense of searching and determination combined with a mystical feel.  The ritornello form helps structure the adventure by using a theme to suggest wandering along, interspersed with sections that are suggestive of  meeting different characters along the way.

Catherine lives in a small rural village in Shropshire, England and has over 25 years experience teaching piano.  Since completing her Master’s Degree specialising in composition, Catherine has chosen to compose in a lyrical minimalist style in order for her pieces to be both educational and relaxing.
