Leaping Deer

Leaping Deer is the next game in the three-minute series. Perfect for mid-beginners, this game is a great way to introduce the interval of a fourth to students who are only used to steps (seconds) and skips (thirds) in their music. Each member of the deer family can leap different lengths – the fawn only a step, the doe a skip, and the buck a fourth. As many students struggle with recognising fourths, Leaping Deer gives them a way to visualise the different distances between the most common intervals.
