My First Compositions - Composing for Young Beginners - STUDIO LICENSE

My First Compositions is an introduction to composing and music theory for young children, best used with beginners ages 5-7, although selections can be used with any age. This book can also function as a companion to the method book My Favorite Children's Songs.

My First Compositions includes 3 page formats: color by key or notation, composing templates, and practice drawing notation. The sequence begins with composing on the black keys with quarter notes and evolves to use more complex rhythm notation and an increasing set of white keys in middle C position.
