Overture

This is a pullout number from "Il Gufo, Il Topo," the children's opera about an owl and a mouse.  It is arranged for piano and is gives the instructor a teaching opportunity beyond the keyboard.  Take some time to give the history and use of overtures.  Then allow your upper intermediate to advanced students enjoy the emotionally charged piano arrangement of "Overture."
