Slipshod Piano Duet - PDF
LEVEL | Advanced |
PRODUCT TYPE | Digital Download |
Quirky, energetic, and interesting advanced recital music.
Slipshod was commissioned by choreographer/videographer Victoria Uris in 1991 as the soundtrack for a film performed by dance majors on top of a parking garage at Ohio State University. Musically, the piece is based on two contrasting ideas: a fast, repeated note figure and four jagged quarter notes that are developed and loosely spun together in variations named: Exposition, Herd of Thirds, Kerplunk School, Raucous Roll, Salt & Pepper, False Waltz, Scale Olympics, and Accumulation Disorder. Listeners may find it interesting to identify these sections in the music as you listen. About 6:00 minutes length.
