Students listen to two pieces, then choose their favorite! This worksheet introduces two pieces by two different composers. Students listen to each piece while reading a little bit about each composer, then they write down something they like about each piece and how they are similar or different. Then they choose a favorite!
This simple activity gets your students listening to classical music, discovering new composers and music, and finding their new favorite composers and styles.
In this activity students will listen to “The Homeless Wanderer” by Ethiopian composer/pianist Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou, and “Bethena Waltz” by Scott Joplin.
